How the Surge Filter Works

As pond water is pumped into the Surge Filter, it passes through the chamber filled with open-structured K+Media, which captures suspended waste and debris. During regular operation, this media acts as a barrier, mechanically filtering particles while supporting bio-filtration.

When it's time to clean, simply engage the Air Clean Technology:

1. Turn off the pump
2. Close the inlet and outlet ball valves
3. Open the waste valve

This triggers a patented air syphon mechanism that draws air into the filter. The air and remaining water agitate the K+Media, dislodging debris, which is then flushed out through the waste outlet—leaving your media clean and ready to go.
